Hello,
I just purchased the s820 printer and did some test prints. Images were sharp and skin tones were terrific. Graininess minimal to non existent. I do however have a problem. The white backgrounds (ie walls) tend to look bluish/pinkish. Worse, is the magenta color/blotches in the dark areas of photos (ie black/grey/dark blue shirt). Can anyone explain the cause and remedy.
Facts:
- HP 7150 photosmart also produced a bluish tinge on white backgrounds ( so it's not printer specific as I suspect)
-I550 also displayed the magenta in dark area.
I suspect its my camera, and some have suggested it has a weak white balance.
I generally set my camera exposure to +2/3. Could this cause the some of the problems which arise in both indoor flash photos and outdoor shots. In other words, overexposure?? I noticed my monitor did not exhibit these same problems. Hmmm...Any comments would be appreciated. tks
