Had a really rough time with this shoot.....5 week old baby boy...but the parents wanted newborn style shots...hard to do once theyre this old. Poor lil pa-tot had open heart surgery a few weeks ago...such a lil trooper :)

Lovely as usual Carley. I love #1...all that empty space in the frame really makes the baby look smaller.

thank you so much! I started shooting a shot like that with every baby purely because it worked well in a particular birth announcement template that i have....but then the look of that type of shot grew on me and now i do it with lots of babies just cause! :)

how sweet cheeta.. it almost made me cry when i saw the scar.. i cant imagine how his parents must feel. but i imagine they feel awesome to have their little baby in their arms.

I agree with the others. For those of us with kids, the shot showing the scar is a real tear jerker. Very nice work.

yes! we dont live in a huge town...so since he was born, theyve pretty much been living in a hotel to be near the hospital he was at....
they are SO happy to have him home and healthy

i know what you mean about the scar....when i was shooting him...i just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him a ton..

thank you so much. im sorry the photo made you feel uneasy...it was very important to the parents to capture his scar...cause its so much a part of him and his life up to this point, ya know?
