Phil - Nice crisp shots, but your thread title is kinda false advertising since these are not exactly night shots, are they?

Nice job, though.

Great sharp shots.
Do you need to update your equipment in your sig?
Your 70-200 certainly gets closer to the action than mine.

Regardless of the possible innaccuracies in your thread title, they are still good shots. I like 2 & 6 the most.

Our games start at 7pm and I try to get as many shots as possible early in the evening. Here are some more in darkness. Three are with flash, two are at ISO 6400. Do you like the flash better, or not? C & C appreciated.

They look simply great. #4 looks as if you used a noise program (Noise Ninja or the such), otherwise, outstanding lighting and sharpness.

EDIT ADDED: I personally do not like the SS-blur with the flash and love the 1st post series. Not even close.

You are right about #4. I cropped it quite a bit and I think I took the sharpening too far.

I like the shots without flash.
How are you getting such great results at 6400 ISO even with NN.
Mark III?

I don't normally say this, but I think you shot too tight on a couple. I like the majority of the shots, though.

I'm shooting with a Mark III and use Noiseware Pro in post processing. The high ISO, in camera, noise reduction was NOT used.

Image straight from the camera. f/3.2, 1/800, ISO 6400, Av, + 1/3 EC

After cropping, adding clarity, vibrance, sharpening and noiseware pro at default setting. Lightroom 2 used except for the noiseware pro in photoshop.
