Am I just going to have to print 3.5 x 5 and trim? I am really hoping not to have to trim because without fail, they won't be straight. I checked mpix, prolab express and WHCC. None of them makes 3x3 prints for the 3x3 albums I want. Any ideas?

If you've done business with any particular printer on a regular basis, I'd give them a call and see what they suggest.

Before I picked up my own printer, I had sent a pretty large number of shots to my local Costco on a somewhat regular basis. I had one batch that was filled with odd sizes, all smaller than 4x6. I submitted the images to print on 4x6 stock with white areas that included text that said "this section intentionally left blank."

After printing, the people running the print shop gave me a call and asked if I wanted them to crop off the extra white space on each print, or if I wanted to do it myself. Having an established relationship with the printer didn't hurt in that case, but it might have been an option either way.

I use a paper cutter for straight cuts. You can pick up a decent one for around $25 at staples or a super nice one for $70 from staples.

Thanks... but I have at least half a dozen trimmers in all varieties. The cuts are just not going to be perfect enough for me. Perfection counts when the edge of the photo is flush with the edge of the album. I would rather order 3x3s than trim them myself. As I mentioned, I already know I can trim if necessary. If anyone has any ideas for labs that offer 3x3s, I'm still interested. :)

My lab will print any size, the printer does the cutting itself and it's perfect. They gang prints onto 30x40" sheets, it's cheaper that way I think. My lab is in New Zealand, which probably doesn't help you much.
