Hey Brian, I know what its like to post and not get replies, so i'll bite..Local sports leagues are a good source of added income if approached and executed properly. As far as your poster goes the basic idea is good, but there are a few things you might want to work on/think out. Your backgrounds are very busy. as someone who has shot little league baseball , I am well aware that it's sometimes difficult to get clean backgrounds. Also, watch out for cut off legs etc. If you want a parent to buy these, they will want to see all of their child ( legs and all ). I know you said this one was just for fun so this is just for future ref.

I think the basic concept isn't bad, but you need to improve the content some before using it to compete for a league I think. As the prior reply said, the action pictures are OK, but the backgrounds are busy, cropping not ideal, and the action itself isn't really peak. If you are going to do a poster for a whole team for the season, I'd think you'd have a few bats hitting balls, a couple of catches happening, maybe a slide or something... and more variety. To clean up the backgrounds, shoot at a wider aperture.
The real concern I have though, if you are going to use this to pitch to a league, is the team picture. I would take some time to study really good team pictures and how they are posed, especially for a sample. This one doesn't look like it was carefully put together.... more that the guys just lined up on their own. Believe me, I've certainly taken similar pictures, but I would not pick one like this as an example to send to a league for review. You want a nice tight well organized pose.
There are a few sample team pictures on my site... http://gallery.victoryphoto.com/g/samples . They aren't perfect, but they are typical of what I try to produce for team pictures.

This poster is going over well for individual players. I also do football posters that are selling great.

Is there a certain program that you use to make these posters?
