View Full Version : Photography helps identify stress

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but this is amazingly accurate.
Read the full description before looking at the picture.
The attached photo has 2 identical dolphins in it. It was used in a case study on stress level at St. Mary's Hospital. Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are identical. A closely monitored, scientific study of a group revealed that in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical, a person under stress would find differences in the two dolphins. If there are many differences found between both dolphins, it means that the person is experiencing a great amount of stress.
Look at the photograph and if you find more than one or two differences you may want to take a vacation.

The only difference that I could see is that the dolphin on the right has a more whitish face than the other one. But everything else looks exactly the same to me. I guess that means that I may be a little stressed but not very much, huh? I guess that trip to Montreal over the weekend really did me some good and had a positive effect on me then.

I know they are both the same, yet...
I think it is the lighting - the one on the right is shadowed by a cloud, and just has a different look - amazing!

I know it's udderly useless, but it's fun, and I'm going to milk this for every laugh I can get.

So would this be a picture of Flipper and Flopper ?
And don't get mad, ya know - I mean don't have a cow over it, okay?

I didn't think I was stressed out ... until I saw this - then I decided it might be true. It was confirmed when I looked in the mirror and saw poke's avatar looking back at me ... I'm screwed.

That is insanely funny to me. (note: as funny as it is, I did not spit out my coffee, nor am I rolling on the floor laughing my arse off. My wife is watching.)
The dolphin on the left (flipper) is fully capable of making a one-point landing. The dolphin on the right (flopper) seems likely to make an 8-point landing (or possibly 10...hard to tell from the photo)
Other than that, they're identical.

I think the one on the left makes smaller Dolphin flops than the one on the right...

Could be worse. At least Poke's avatar has hair.

Other than the fact I can't figure out how to milk the one on the left, they look remarkably alike to me.

No, those artifacts are caused by a Quantaray lens. Which "are poop" according to CDS.

"poop" being a very technical term, of which only moderators have a deep enough understanding of to use in the correct context... leaving us in awe of their literary expertise...

Reading some of the descriptions they've posted, it sounds like I could just add cheese and fries to my beef stew and I'd be close. :)

Are you dissing Mac and Cheese? We live in a state neighboring a state that has Green Bay, you could get lynched for saying something bad about something that involves cheese:p

No, the reference is because, after loading up on 'L' glass, the only thing you can afford is Mac & Cheese.

And for those who can't make it up to Montreal for that wonderful culinary treat of poutine here is a link to recipe you can use to make it at home. I only suggest that there is a heart specialist close by after you consume this

It's gross, it's messy and it's delicious!
Sounds about right. But I don't know if I could eat a recipe from an animated meerkat.
Edit: I think Sandy and I got into the wrong thread....
