Date stamp

Hi guys,

Just picked up a second hand Ixus 750 which is fine apart from the fact that I can't seem to get the date stamp working.

The option to turn it on is greyed out in the menu and I can't figure out how to turn it on, any ideas?

It's only available in "Post Card" mode, something like the 2 MP setting.

Thanks for that and you are of course correct. I'm assuming postcard mode isn't that high a resolution ?

No, it isn't. The Ixus 750/ SD550 is a 7.1 MP camera; Date stamp/Postcard mode is only available at M3 (1600x1200 pixel) resolution. You can download the manuals, if you haven't got them, from Canon USA (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=145&modelid=12466#DownloadDetailAct) (need to enable pop-ups).
