I'm a newcomer to digital imaging so please humour me!

I have a Canon EOS D60, shoot only in RAW mode, and use Photoshop Elements 2 (soon to be upgraded to Elements 3) and Phase One Capture One LE. Is there any point in using any other noise reduction software such as Imagenomic Noiseware?

If you ever shoot at ISO 400 or above there's probably a very chance that you'll like what Noiseware/etc do for you. Given that they all have free trials - some even have free versions - it's certainly worth the time to try them.

Yes. Try the free noiseware version.
