Smarter than smoking, state championships, Barbagallo WA

headed up to Barbagallo Raceway yesterday
i made one huge mistake, i left my big rain jacket in the car, and only took a cheap poncho thingy that folded into my pocket nicely - it was nice and sunny, with a few big fluffy clouds, a great day for racing
as the formula vees went out for qualifying the sky got really dark

then during the EA/VN saloons it bucketed

there was a little bit of oil on the track

it dried out for a little bit

then bucketed again

it was during this rain that my poncho started to leak, i probably would have been drier if i had jumped into a puddle
it was blowing a gale, and i was freezing
so i decided to go home, dry off and warm up, as i wasnt enjoying my self.
i did take photos as i walked around the track back to the car though

I like them,but i preffer to use some higher shutter speed in rain,just to catch the drops and the spaying from the weels.

Ponchos are great too!!!:)
