WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 131 -- Danger Signals

The theme for this week is "Danger Signals" Interpret this any way you like, as different and unusual interpretations are always welcome.

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Crummy shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. I have a list of several hundred topics.
To suggest topics, I use the highly sophisicated, scientific method of random selection -- i.e. I close my eyes & point!;)

I'm having a tough time, too.
I have ideas for shots, but I'm short on time.

The area of the Ken Colmbs Pier in Gulfport, MS remains damaged...and dangerous...since the wrath of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike in recent months.

John -- Where is that sign? I ask because I visited your website and noticed that we've both visited some of the same parks. Just wondered where you were now!

Monty -- I hope your home fared better than your yard.
We're getting some of that same rain, but not nearly as much as you -- only 2 inches yesterday. What's that body of water in the background with the docks/piers? Lake? Ocean?

kj -- Hurricanes/storms everywhere this year. Nice treatment of the subject.

Man, count yourself lucky! Up here in the Midwest the leaves are starting to turn, signaling that the Hell on Earth that is winter is coming to envelop us for the next 6 months. I shudder from the thought of it! (can you tell I'm not native?)

HAHA...that is why I left Minneapolis!!! NO MORE SNOW!!!

I like having four seasons. Like Annie, our leaves are starting to turn, and soon even the loathsome poison ivy will be lovely. Fortunately, our winters usually give us some but not a lot of snow. So they're a nice change of pace for us.

As for the new theme, so far we have 3 votes for Meal, 1 vote for Wheels and 1 for Changing Season. Any more votes out there?????

Now for my danger sign. Who exactly is in danger, when a sign is posted? The sign reader is assumed to be the one in the most danger, but sometimes it is the subject of the sign most suceptable . . .
