I am confused exactly on how to set custom white balance with my Digital Rebel. I mainly shoots basketball games and the pictures usually come out with an awful yellow titn to them. So I was thinking of setting up a custom white balance. But Im not exactly sure how to. I use flash, so do I take a white piece of paper get my settings w/ the flash and take a picture of the paper? Or do I shoot the paper w/o the flash. Ive also heard of getting coffe filter and putting them over the lens then pointing them up the the lights, the agin would I use flash? Also, would I have to change the settigs when I move from spot-to-spot?
Thanks for any help.

First find a good white source, I recommend a neutral grey card, watch out for paper as it is often slightly blue to make it appear brighter.
Take a shot of the neutral source under the lighting you will be using, then go into your menu and find the custom white balance option, it will ask you to select an image as a white balance source, select the one you took of the neutral source.
Once this is done, you will need to set the camera to use the custom white balance on the LCD panel using the WB button. Don't forget this step, or the camera won't be using your custom white balance (I have made this mistake :( )
