A lovely sunny day at my favourite circuit of them all, Olivers Mount at Scarborough, Yorkshire's mini T.T.
If you've never been and you're wondering why it's known as the mini T.T. then watch THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMQQziluxtY&feature=related), 2.4miles, three hairpins, hills, jumps, bumps, it's narrow and they still lap at over 80mph!
I started the day at The Esses and this is one of three Dunlops riding, William. There were so many Irish there it was more like the Cheltenham Gold Cup at times.

Watching sidecars round here is brilliant, certifiable the lot of em.

This is Farm Bends at the bottom of the circuit.

"Jefferies Jump" on what's laughingly called the Bottom Straight.

It's so undulating that even the 125's get air, William Dunlop again.

Mountside Hairpin can be tricky!

John McGuiness late in the day at Drury's Hairpin low sun and shadow everywhere.

Brilliant, all of them. If I had to pick a favourite it would be William Dunlop doing really silly things on that 125. Can't say I've ever seen anyone get a 125 that far off the floor before :).

Great stuff, but the one you described as ""Jefferies Jump" on what's laughingly called the Bottom Straight." is an absolute cracker. Good motion, good rider shape, wheelie and eyes! Well done :)

Nice pics! I like the one from Jeffries Jump - that bike and David Bell's certainly stood out from the rest of the 'typical' superbikes!

Lovely set of images, #1 is my favourite.
I guess you went on Saturday judging by the weather, I went on Sunday to watch Guy trounce them all and the weathewr was very dull at times.

Olivers Mount is another of those places that I have 'on my list'. I'll make it up there one day!
I love #4... the concentration in the eyes makes it!

It was off, but the jury's still out as far as I'm concerned with IS, I need to experiment some more.
It says in the manual (yes I read a lens manual) that IS is effective at 1/30-1/125sec with no attachments and 1/40-1/200sec with 1.4x converter fitted.
So as most of my shots are taken at higher than 1/200sec I'm assuming IS will be no good.
If anybody has experience with a 300mm F/4 and IS please speak after the tone...........beeeeeeeeeeep!

stunning shots stuart, but how come you got a shot like number 7, was not your favourite marshalls stood in your way, yet again, or did the glare make them move.
you should have come sunday as well stuart, weather ok, thankfully it stayed dry compared to some years at this meeting.
all the best paul

hi stuart i had he IS on at donni and i had allot of pics that were slightly oof.
Originally when i reviewed pics i thought it was me as first attempt and weather not good on the saturday. But after the event i sore somewhere about most sports photographers turning the IS off.
Which kind of get me thinking if most turn off for sport then why all the big guns that are used for sports got it on?
Cheers shane
