24-70 2.8

Hello all I am still inlove with my 70 200 2.8 is jsut wanted you to know. But i was wondeing has any scene or had a chance to use or touch the new lens from canon, the new 24-70 2.8 the replacement for the 28-70 i think it was? I am very excited abou tthis lens consdiering i am using it on a d30. But one thing i was wondering is if the new lens is really one pieace, on the older lense when you zoomed in and out the lense cam out and in very bad for dust collection and i am wondring if its one pieace now, well if you ahve any news or information for me i would love to know take care all

from the physcial looks of 24-70L compare to 28-70L, the design doesnt seem to change much except it's longer than the latter one

would expect the front barrel length to increase when shooting at wide angle :P

the Canon reps will be at our local camera shop on the 15th & 16th of this month. i'm told that i'll be able to try this lens out. will post some shots when i get them.
should be a nice lens although high price for first timers.

Of course this lens is avalaible in the us, the latest i have heard is a forsale date in the 15 or the 16 of this month, i would check b and h and the dpreview site, as they always have good information, And considering that canon is up and ready to release their new digital slr they are looking to push this one out quick, and they now sence it is replaceing a very VERY VERY popular lense it will be hot seller, but the price will be about 2000 dollars us, may we can get it down to 1700 import try delta for there prices as they are always cheap.
