Hi,

Got the bike out and wandered over to Scarboro on Sunday for my first visit to Oliver's Mount and the Gold Cup. Weather was supposed to be great - however - it turned out to be quite dull so not the best in the tree lined areas.

It's a great little course with a bit of everything - it also seems like you are catapulted 30 years back in time!

Here's a few I took, C&C appreciated, thanks for looking:

Guy Martin, undisputed (current) hero around this track, 6 times Gold Cup winner on the trot!

Jeffreys Jumps were amusing

Sidecars outfits, fast and crazy!

McGuiness on a 250!

Nice shots!

The last one just sums up how hairy races like this must be! wheel tilted over the jump side by side. Great action

Nice set of shots, I like the one of Guy Martin on the back wheel.

I can't believe the bloke in #7 Bill Robertson is still racing.
I've got shots of him on a Morbidelli at the original Croft circuit back in 1980, he used to have the "Robertsons Gollie" on his helmet, which is not very pc these days of course.

I was still in short trousers back then you understand. :o

It is a pretty unique place - and the width of the track is scary heading into the hairpin off the start/finish - must take big cahoonas to race it.

For those who haven't been (Silverstone this weekend will feel like prison!):
