I'm going to be shooting the Thunderbirds for the first time this week and wondered if anyone had ideas about proper exposure technique for white airplanes. I've seen some excellent shots on this forum and wonder if you recommend slight overexposure?

Just whatever it takes to make the white show up right! :)
Hopefully you'll have good weather.

slight overexposure? No. Use the right exposure & "M".
This shows how the subject can affect the exposure & why manual keeps me worry free:

First set the f-stop & shutter speed you need for the effect you want. Then the other parameter: f-stop or shutter speed. Then adjust the ISO.

Threads without images can't be left in the photo share areas, so I have to move this one.
