Hadn't been to this festival in over 20 years. Very large event!

Very nice, I like #1 and the night shot.

Numbers two and three for me. Two, because the lighting is incredible: I love the reflections on the water, especially.
Three, because I've never been able to successfully capture flame, and I'm always impressed when people can. 8-) (Also, the expression on the guy on the left is great...)

Very nice and colorful. Balloons make great subjects.

great shots....the balloon being filled looks very similar to the one I rode recently at the Gatineau Balloon Festival. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=563501)
Did you have the oportunity to go up in one?
Thanks for sharing.

I had a chance, the balloon on the ground in #1 & #3, but passed. After seeing your thread, I probably should have gone for a ride :). But, at 5am I'm too groggy to make a decision like that, so no thanks, was the easy answer :)

Too bad. An early morning balloon ride would clear the grogginess. Being suspended like that in what feels like a flimsy rattan basket certainly awakens the brain!
