...I realized I haven't shared in a while... and also realized that I can't grow if I don't open myself up to any critique.

Therefore... comments critique are more than welcome.

1. (40D/11-16) Best man's reminder to bring the rings LOL!

Loved 3 and 4. How did you get that to fly? Wind? I really like the contrast on those images. Very dynamic.

yeah, those shots are really frustrating to do. You need wind and a very patient bride and groom. She was up for it as she is used to waiting around for picture taking. Her father is a photographer. (and actually gave me a hard time before they booked me... LOL)

Lots of great pictures!...

#1 and #3 are killer, but I'd probably crop the alarm panel out of the first one... what an awesome capture though. Nothing says wedding better than that post-it.

Beautiful bride, handsome groom, photogenic bridal party.... you even managed to get some distance on the hefty one in #7... and avoid her entirely the rest of the time.

Really beautiful pictures with very few distracting elements and some really creative use of the bright day. Great job.

Lloyd,

Love these. Your sepia conversions are wonderful...a perfect classic look. I agree with others that #2 is over saturated...the faces appear to be a tad washed out on my monitor. v

Very, very nice series. Something unique. Great style.
I like everything but most shots which i like come from canon 10-22 . Have same lens but can't get near close to you :

Once again, amazing job!

thanks guys! =)

D.A.: yeah, the 10-22 (or any ultrawide for that matter) takes a long time to get used to, especially in people pictures. Which is probably why it's not used very often for people. But keep at it and you'll get it.

I'll keep it. Works great for me. I think that you have to put people in the middle of the scene or little right or left (one third) to avoid distorted faces. Also keep it in right angle.
That's my opinion. So far i use it even for the people just because i like ultrawide.

And, my name is Dino. Pleasure to meet you :) This is my gallery:

Soon i'll put some pictures of my hometown.

thanks! 5 is one of my favourites, yet it's probably one of the simplest shots I took for that session.

Wow pics..

Going wide, which wide angle lens should I purchase first? Tokina 11-16 or the canon EF-S 10-22mm? Out of your pictures, the shots taken with canon seemed to jump at me more.

I use both because they have different strengths. The 10-22 is so amazingly flare resistant. If I'm outside and the sun is out then it's the 10-22. If the light is low then I use the tokina.

Quick question... 1Ds3 + 10-22? Did you modify the 10-22 to mount onto the camera?

yes, I did. It's TOO GOOD of a lens to sell off. And I love that it acts as an UWA on ALL THREE formats 1.6 1.3 and FF so I don't have to carry extra lenses to get UWA when I want it, no matter what camera I'm holding.

ooh question: does the image with your mod 10-22 on ff have a thick black border like the sigma 10-20 does when mounted on ff bodies? or does the pic reach the edges?

and HOW did you modify it?????

Yes, it looks like a tunnel until 15.5mm. At that point, it fills the entire frame. So it most definitely qualifies as ultra-wide on full frame. The Tokina 11-16 can be used from 14mm onward, and 13mm if you can afford some darker corners. (i.e. shooting in a dark room)

as for how I modded it... I pulled out the EF-S baffle, and popped in an EF baffle from the 75-300. But you have to be careful. If you shoot it at 10mm it will hit the mirror.
