I have posted several questions lately about taking and processing pictures. I thought getting the information would improve my editing time and end up saving me time in the long run....
What did I get???
Great suggestions and tips that have increased my "keepers"; thus giving more work!
Seriously, I want to thank everyone who has helped me and given me suggestions. I am happy to report that my "keepers" percentage has increased (almost doubled) and I am thrilled!
I have read posts about what books are recommended and I can honestly say that I recommend none........ The experts on this site are far better than anything I could read. I can ask a question, get responses, get updates as I try new things, etc. The best advice I could give someone (new) would be to search the threads, ask questions, and get ready to learn and improve!
Again, I want to thank everyone!!!!

Drmac, I probably haven't helped you one bit but I wanted to congratulate you on the improved keeper rate. Also I agree that there is lot more to learn here than any book could contain. And we can be a bunch more fun.

The people here are great. Will help you with anything and I have never met a photographer here with an 'attitude'. If you want easy answers here - don't ask. If you want correct answers - this is the place. I posted an image a few years back and one of the regulars told me it looked like a kid drew it with crayons. But this person is fantastic and has been a photagrapher since God made dirt. He told me to send him the original file. He returned it about a week later and I couldn't believe it was the same image. He included about a 5 page step by step PP guide. Now this is a pro who took the time to help someone he doesn't even know. Where else can this happen??
I'll say it again - you are in the right place here

Camera gear, especially "L" lenses and 1Ds cameras, can quickly transfer one from one club to the other.
All I want for Christmas is a 1Ds III and an EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM. And the people in Hell want icewater. The odds for each are about the same.
