Nope, I took it with an 18-55. I was right in harms way, so I got in and got out. I would have been more upset about my camera getting hurt than myself, but I felt confident that if he struck it would be at my chest. Those little holes on his "lips" are heat pits. Pythons can essentially see in thermal, and my heart is much hotter than an inanimant object like a camera. Thanks for looking.
