I really thought the high ISO would kill this image, but I'm satisfied. Any suggestions for improvement would be great. I didn't do any noise reduction, and although I'm sure it's there I can't see it on my monitor without peeping.

nice sharpness. however, i would bump up the exposure just a tad to brighten it up.

I like the darkground darker, but I did boost the exposure of the animal and like it better I think. Not drastic, but it stands out a bit more.

Looks way, way too blue to me. Here it is with white balance corrected (and a touch of sharpening)...

Wow, I cannot believe I didn't see the blue hue. I'm losing it

I adjusted my second post above to reflect the change. I didn't apply the sharpening though as I'm happy with the unsharpened image.

Yours still looks a tad blue to me (look at the white fur), but much improved. I used the clidk WB in lightroom on my version on the white fur.

Yeah I didn't use that fur as the white balance. It looks unnatural since the jaguar didn't have white white fur down

My original post looks exactly like how the cat looked at the zoo because of lack of sunlight. Yours looks like a freshly bathed cat :D. I tried to go somewhere in between of natural and ideal.

Good point. Nice job on the cat!

I would go tighter... background doesn't add that much. I would take some off the top and go to a traditional 8x10 form factor. The upper area isn't adding anything.
