Ok, love the A590 and getting more used to it. Question: When I am using manual focus, I see a little "sliding progress bar" (for lack of a better term) in the uppper portion of my display. I didn't see this thing in any pictures in the manual either) When I adjust the focus, the slider moves and the picture becomes either blurry (incorrect direction) or clearer (correct direction.) When i think the picture is good for me, I half press the sutter and then fully depress the shutter to take the picture. This works great.
However, sometimes, I want to focus on something up closer than the previous shot and the slider doesn't retract all the way to the shortest distance. Seems like it gets to a certain point and then stops. The picture is clearly out of focus (....that sounds odd....) I have the digital focus set to standard. What other information do I need to tell you? ARe there settings that I have set that inhibit this from going back?
I'll try and duplicate what I've just asked and try harder to get more info. Sure is easy to forget those settings, though.
