Very clever!
Is the really long drop photoshop, is that very, VERY thick oil?
Did you think of trying something a bung sitting to one side, and oil flowing out into a catch tray?

No photoshop, Its used oil from my Bug/Beetle, but I diluted it down with some clean stuff.
The old used oil was opaque black.
I got oil all over my Wacom pen rubbery bits.
What the HEY! HO! is bung, like a plug?I
I had it drip into my old stainless 16x24 inch printing tray.

Bettle oil must be pretty good stuff then
The bung is the short bolt you take out of the bettle to let the oil out, plug would be another way to desribe it :)
Normally when you do an oil change you remove the bung, and drain the oil into a catch tray, or can of some describtion .
The idea would be to rig something up so it looks you are draining the oil out of the globe, and have a cap in the top to put new stuff back in

Hey Moppie,
I thought bungs were on the base of the transom on the stern of the vessel.
Beetle juice is removed by pulling the drain plug.
The globe is about 75mm, 3 inches in diameter, so I would have to shrink my hand.
I get what you mean tho.
Ill leave that idea to you.
If we take all the oil out of the earth, wont the earths gears overheat?

Bung, drain plug, same think when its stuck in the sump of an engine filled with hot oil

That is a very small globe, no wonder the drop looks so big.
Might have to try something with a larger scale model.
