Hi, I've been commisionned to shoot an office. The emphasis is on the 4 desks. My gear is listed in my sig. I was wondering how to approach it, and if off camera flash would help.
thanks in advance.
ps. if you have sample photos feel free to share.

I would get some radio triggers..radiopoppers, cybersyncs, etc. and geta softbox rig for your flash and a reflector for fill. Then you would have the perfect set up.

The first thing that popped into my head was some kind of aerial view showing the four desks, all neat and in a square. Except to get all four desks...there's no way you coul do that just in an office, unless it was open-air and you rented a crane...
How are the desks arranged in the office?

thanks for the quick replies.
I'm not sure how the office is arranged. Chances are that the desks are in separate offices. I can picture how I would make them stand out via the use of shallow DOF and post processing. However I'm wondering how the lighting will work. Since offices usually have overhead fluorescent light i was thinking of having the flash bounce off a wall to evenly light the sides of the desks.
I'm going to head over to my local photo store to see if they have any PWs now.

Would depend on the intent of the shoot. Are you trying to show what the furniture looks like? What the office space looks like? What the natural light looks like?
If its furniture then even lighting will show it best. If it's space then maybe a mix of natural light and flash. The windows in the office will also dictate what you need/do.
