Try looking in your local (or nearest large city) phone book for "Embroidery".

a basic camera strap isn't rocket science... and getting a pre-made plain strap embroidered shouldn't be too costly.
What do you want it to say on there? Cakon? perhaps in red and yellow? ;)

I teach high school (yeah, I know, lucky me) and I'm the yearbook advisor. We have three 20D's. I bought dark green and black straps for them (school colors). A local embroidery shop said they could cut the seams, embroider them, and stich them back together for about $20 each.
I really think this would be the best way to go. I don't think anyone who makes straps would want to do it for just a few, or even a dozen...without costing an arm and a leg.

This sort of thing should be easy for any embroiderer worth their salt.
You may also want to consider silk screening, it can sometimes be cheaper.

I made and sold t-shirts in college. A print shop would do it but they would want a lot of money to do it for one or two straps. Plus, they have speical adapters for things like hats and cozies (to hold them in place while they are being silk screened). They would have to build something custom to screen print a strap.

Hats and cozies have to be round. The strap can be placed flat.
Also I've been doing some research in my area for this type of thing recently. Having your business name or web address printed using the standard letters they have would not cost more than $10-15. Something custom would cost $10 plus a $40 setup fee. (At least it would in LA)

It's not that they are round; it's that they have to be in a certain spot. Silk screens sit on what looks like a carousel. You swing the screen over what you are printing on, lower the screen, and run what looks like a squeegee over the t-shirt (or hat, cozie, etc). What ever you are printing on has to be aligned exactly. You need something in there to hold the strap in the right position.
I rememer asking one time how much would it cost for one t-shirt and I believe they quoted me $75.
