Very nice Jason. How long were your sub exposures?

Beautiful image. Is your 40D modified? I am waiting for Orion to come over the horizon and the clouds to clear so I can start using the new scope.

Wonderful image of M42. I too am curious about your subs length. I would love to do some astrophotography but I only own large dobs (10" orion XT10I and a 16" lightbridge well I do have a Orion 100mm ed but its only on a simple alt/az mount. ) One day I am going to buy a 8"-10" orion Newt and a GEM and start imaging.

I'm waiting for Orion too. Happened to wake up at 4am the other night and was outside to check out the moon, and saw Orion had risen. Can't wait to spend some time on, but there's plenty to shoot now if you can't wait.
And that's a lovely M42 there, jpalmer. Great colours, nice and sharp.
