We recently moved our pictures to a new system and installed Zoombrowser on the new system. When downloading pictures, the modified date is not showing the actual date & time the picture was taken. It is showing the downloading date and time.

This was working previously with the same version of Zoombrowser on the other computer (also Windows XP and same camera).

Does anyone know how to change the settings (and which settings) so the .jpg files get stamped with the date & time they were taken ... still using Zoombrowser

I suspect it is not set in Zoombrowser but cannot find where else ... When I connect the camera, a program called CameraWindow launches. I didn't see any preferences to change it in there either ...

System Information:

Zoombrowser EX 4.6.0.32

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2).

Camera is a Canon Powershot S1 IS

Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Solution found myself.

I determined that the date was not accurately being updated as of around September 2004. It was just that I was being diligent in downloading and sorting pictures around then and didn't notice a day or two difference in date taken and date modified!

When I investigated furthere, I realized one difference around that time in versions of software! Zoombrowser. I don't remember the previous version, but an upgrade to Zoombrowser EX 4.6.0.32 was done around then ...

I decided to try upgrading to Zoombrowser 5.0. The modified date is now correct with the date taken :> The only thing I don't like about the new version of Zoombrowser is that it creates a new folder based on the date taken information ...
oh well at least my modified dates are now correct ...
