Hiall,

This isn't related to Canon so I hope this is OK here. If not then Admins please move or delete.

For anyone interested in a different kind of video/stills camera, have you seen the Casio EX-F1?

Couple of samples...

Great fun and gives an opportunity to view the world in a different way.
(The alternative is a pro-high speed cam at MUCH higher cost and less convenient as they are mainly tethered to a laptop)

Cheers

That's a pretty awesome P&S. 300 FPS is cool, haha.

I have only watched the first video, but it was very cool. I would like to try this some day.

Interesting capability but it would seem to be the increadibly shrinking video the faster the frame rate:

512 x 384 (300 fps)
432 x 192 (600 fps)
336 x 96 (1200 fps)

Yep, of course there is a compromise but that even applies to the true high speed cameras that cost upwards of $8000

Its enough to have fun with ;)

ha, i actually looked into high-speed cameras and $8000 wouldn't get you anything...it would cost more than 50k and probably 100k to get something good.
