Too Cool...

Just did a quick dirty test and (using the LumiGrid) pointing it accross the yard seems to get me to within no more than 1/3 of a stop of what the 40D meter says is correct. Histogram looks good after the fact...

So now it's back on with the LumiSphere, lash it up to my 600RXs and commence to figuring out ratios!

No more guessing!! Whoo Hoo!! :)

You will benefit from having a light meter in so many ways. Congratulations. The lumigrid has a 54 degree field of view so don't confuse it with spot metering. It's for reflective metering but be aware of its field of view.

When using it with your RX's you'll be able to nail exposures the first time and eliminate all the guesswork and chimping. The handheld light meter is one of the best investments you'll ever make.

Copy that. I see they make 1, 5 and 10 degree spot "snoots" too. I'm figuring however that being able to make an averaged reading (even if it's in broad terms like SKY + GROUND = f/xs @ 1/xxx) will help with landscape shooting. (I miss the 9 point averaging I used to be able to do with my T90...)

That's exactly why I wanted to invest in a meter...

Thanks for the encouragement. Muchly appreciated!
