So I've finally set down and designed a logo. I had a little help from some friends but want your opinion on it. Do you like it at all? If so, which version? Any changes you'd make?

If I were to pick one, I'd say the first one because I can read it. The red/black is very hard to read.

Thanks for the comment. My friend said they same thing. It doesn't seem hard to read to me but I guess it does to others.

Anyone else have comments?

Kill the whole aperture thing. Overdone, and makes it look corny.

I don't know if that is true, I kinda like it. I would choose 3 but would like to see the apeture in the first one in the third one. It is more derfined.

Of those three, the first one. I don't like the red.

But I was kinda thinking the same thing as Andrew on the aperture. I think it may look better with just an "O" instead.

I agree too.

Yea, I'm not 100% happy with the aperture thing either but I feel like I need some kind of symbol and can't come up with anything I like. Any ideas for symbols?

It's not bad...unique.

Make it a brighter read and you should be fine but I like the last one. Also try taking out the line and spacing out photography along the bottom.

Oh I just thought, if you keep the aperture then use the "shading" on the last one.

I prefer the first one. I quite like the aperture design on the O, but possibly without the gradient.

I wasn't aware that the aperture design was a cliché, but the logo will be to impress the public won't it, rather than designers and photographers?

From a designer stand point its to hard to read no matter which one you pick. Why dont you come up with something different then a camera or something that looks like part of a camera. I am tired of the same old concepts. Show your creativity, your passion, and your professionalism in your logo and I think it will go a long way. Also don't forget to make it clean and easy to read. Another thing you should think about is dose it look just as good on a black background as it dose on a white or colored background. It needs to be readable on any background (weather you change text colors or not) in case you use it as a water mark on your photo's.
