I wasnt sure where to post this ... anyway, i have PowerShot S5 and i try to shoot bands playing on gigs, you know, but the pics end up all blurry, shakey etc. crappy because the light is what it is.
Is it even possible with PowerShot S5 cause i tried to pull up the ISO setting but S5 is really crappy with that, cause i noticed that the pics end up really grainy already at ISO200.
What am i doing wrong or do i need a better camera?
Oh and BTW, if you wonder what kind of pics i mean:

because the light is what it is. There's no exif in that image, so I don't know what your settings were. In "iffy" light like that, you need to take control of your camera & try using manual so your cam only does what you tell it to do.

The posted image doesn't look bad: It's exposed as well as possible in that light.
The only thing wrong with it is the light itself; not your fault.

Oh no, the pic was just a random live pic i found on Google ... its James Hetfield from Metallica, so its propably shot by a professional... or maybe a road crew member, according to the position of the photographer ... meaning behind him.

I usually use manual settings but when the setting is looking correct on the view finder, the shutter speed is way to slow to shoot a pic like that. ... i better read all the stuff you pointed. Thanks again.
