Hi again,

I will travel soon in November, and this time i upgraded to MKIIIs bodies, so what do you think, how much storage size i need? shooting with primary camera 1Ds3 21mp and another main fast body [backup] of 10mp, so what do think i will end up within 2 weeks or 18 days of full shooting?

If we are assuming that the average i will shoot is 200 shots per day, what i will end up with total size in about 2-3 weeks?

the only storage device i have is my Epson P4000 which holds 80GB [a bit less], should i add another storage device? or should i depend on my CF cards and keep some on them in addition to Epson storage device?

Assuming the images you take are going to be something you'll treasure for years to come, what I'd do is to take TWO Epson P4000 or something similar and duplicate the image saving in these (don't put all the eggs in one electronic basket, is the idea here), as well as having several CF cards as possible back up. If you shoot everything at 21mp, 200 on average a day, for 18 days, that comes to roughly 75gb of images, so you should be fine.

I'd say pick up a cheaper storage device that doesn't have a screen, after all you don't need two. I swear by Nextodi devices (http://www.nextodi.com/en/), they are the worlds fastest transfer devices, which with 21mp is kinda handy :)

Intersting device, the eXtreme coupled to a SSD disk seems a good combo.

I am not sure if all shots will be from 21mp, and also can't be sure i will keep that average, maybe i will increase it some days. And yes, i should be ready for huge space for now.

Good idea, i will look at that, at least to have another backup is better than i risk to full my only device and then regret i didn't have enough.

I always bring a laptop and external HD and make double copies.
