St. Augustine is an old city just crawling with photo opportunities. This is an old 1895 church. It was shot with my 24-70 2.8L lens at 24mm., F11 1/180. I performed some shadow/highlight adjustments, a little sharpening, and the framing action in CS. I would appreciate any comments on photo as I have some doubts about my monitor calibration. Thanks for looking.

dandan,
No problem. At least you had a comment. I like an honest opinion. Thanks for your input.

Thanks Bloo Dog. I rechecked my exif info, and saturation was set in camera to +2. I have since learned not to do that. Good catch, and I'll play around with the reds and yellows as suggested.

The colors just don't seem right for me either. The building could certainly stand to me lighter.
You snipped off the top of the steeple tower.
Good composition from my perspecitve but (and there is nothing you can do about this) the tree in front takes away from it for me.

Ok guys. I'm trying to see if I have a calibration problem. This is the original file from the camera with absolutely no modifications. As you will see, there are power lines that I cloned out. On my monitor the colors look fine. This building was a rather strange color. . . maybe that is what prompted me to take the shot. I still welcome any comments pro or con. Help me out here. . . and be honest. If what you are seeing is not what I am seeing on my monitor, I would love to know so I don't bore you guys with suckie pictures.

Ok, here is another shot on the same day. Nothing done with the exception of changing the image size for the web. Do the colors look right? Shot with same lens 1/125 at F6.7.

Thanks dandan, I do appreciate the quick response. Between your approval of this pic and a bottle of good wine, maybe I can sleep tonight. . . ha ha. Seriously, I am looking for honest criticism. Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion.

The first shot is a tad boring.........not too crazy about the tip of that cone roof being cut..........would've liked to see everything in the frame.
THe 2nd shot is more interesting...........I like the angle where you shot it from. Again the roof thing though........
Good job......keep on sharing. :-)
