Hi,

Byron's Famous Lighthouse, captured in RAW, imported into CS, some adjustments to aperture, brightness, contrast, removed noise using neatimage.

I'd like feedback on which composition looks better (admittedly, #2 is not as sharp as #1 and has a slight CW tilt), but for future i'd like to know what people think.

Which would do you see as a postcard image? :D

Thanks.

I prefer the first. Rails often add interest, but this one doesn't do it for me.

I also like the first one best.

The lighthouse is leaning to the right to a lesser extent

Otherwise, nice picture.

Best regards,
Andy

Great, thanks for the feedback guys,

Andy, the left edge of the lighthouse i think has a taper while the right edge appears to be vertical

I was using one of those little green level indicators from manfrotto inserted in the camera's hotshoe ;) but looks like it wasn't perfect. (camera was on a tripod of course).

Here's another shot of that lighthouse.

Focal Length: 18mm

I actually like the composition in number 2 better. If the lighthouse were in focus, all you'd have to do is rotate the image a smidge in CS and I think you'd have a very interesting picture.

#1 is the same picture everyone else will take. Its a nice picture, but just nothing special about it.
