I am exploring my brand-new toy, the PowerShot S230, and I discovered the power of the Remote Capture software: I can play around with the manual settings and see the results immediately on my computer screen, which is much better than the small camera's display.
However, I have some setting options greyed out, the most important for me being the shutter speed and according to the manual (Help files and the README file) that is not supposed to be the case with S230.
(I have Win98SE)
Do you have the same problem? Or know how to solve it?
Any ideas appreciated!!!!

I am having the same problem, but on Windows 2000 and XP. Have you found out any information about this?

The same software intended for other cameras, for example G3. And you can change shutter speed there and this option will not be greyed out.
You can not change shutter speed with v3 (or S230) either in camera nor in remote capture software. Only Exposure compensation. Play with it, and you will see shutter speed changes.
