Caught a couple of transient Marine Corps birds at Williams Gateway Airport this afternoon. 40D + 100-400
Would have shot through the fence but wouldn't have been able to see anything from ground level due to maintenance vehicles parked between me and them so I stood on a small hill and shot over the fence instead:

A tribute to Capt. Henry T. "Hammering Hank" Elrod, USMC. Elrod was awarded a posthumous Medal Of Honor for heroism in the defense of Wake Island in December 1941. That is the MOH ribbon painted on the aircraft.
