Has anybody viewed this DVD - Posing and Lighting The Female Form by Michael Spatola? I searched for reviews but haven't found anything about quality of the information. He doesn't have a lot of ebay feedback so I thought I'd check here first.

Looks interesting, but I've bought a lot of Lighting DVDs lately that weren't all that good.

I can't say that I've ever heard of it. If you do happen to buy it, maybe you can be the first to write a review. :)

I wish I could tell you more, but I generally prefer books to videos, as they're easier to reference.

I was looking at that the other day. The sample doesn't really help all that much either. Too bad SmartFlix doesn't carry it.

They are not videos, but more like a slideshow, e-book type of thing. I have several of them and they are very informative. And the price is much better.

u will learn so much more from dean collins, strobist and the likes than this video. I checked the sample and i dont see any elaborate set ups or serious creativity in posing/lighting. I'd say save your money :O). If you want to get into retouching, Chris Orwig's Lynda.com title is pretty good.
