Katia, welcome to the forum. Very nice work, you should have no problem selling this qulaity of work. Is anyone else in your area doing this type of Work? If so, just lower your prices a bit and advertize. D0 you have a stock template or use PS to create the posters? Good Luck.

Katia,
Those sequences are fantastic. I can think of many couples with young children that would adore to have such keepsakes.

You can also go to my website portfolio =)
I absolutely love these, all of them, especially the last! I think you should maybe consider handing out some business cards at local stores or where ever you can find that will allow it. Im pretty new to this my self but these look "top notch"! I love your use of different fonts in the images as well.
The only thing I noticed is the text in the last shouldn't it say....
There are seven wonders in the world, in the eyes of a child there are 7 million.
Just a punctuation deal I think and I could be totally wrong, just thought I'd point it out. My day job is a medical transcriptionist so I proof everything lol :)

katie,
these are wonderful! I checked out your site and you have some really nice photos on there....too bad you don't live closer to me - I would pay for these photos! I liked your idea of Craigslisting to get portfolio shots. Now you just need to get together a marketing plan and your business should take off! I have heard of photographers talking to local businesses that might have the kind of customers you are targeting and getting permission to hang portraits you have taken on their walls along with business cards or brochures so the customers know where to find you. Just an idea that's a bit different than just handing out business cards, advertising in your phone book, local paper, etc.
Good luck, thanks for sharing! I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Quite simply, you do really, really nice work. I like the goldfish bowl a LOT, and honestly, it would make a terrific business card! Congratulations, I think as soon as people start seeing your portfolio, you'll do well. Just make sure that your pricing is in line with others in your area (I'm not counting things like Sear's, Picture People, those sorts of stores).

I love these shots. If I didn't live on the other side of the world I'd get you to do my kids photos. I checked out yout website and to be honest I found it a bit difficult to navigate.

Welcome to POTN. I love the work. We share a passion for capturing the essence of childhood. With the kids I photograph, I require releases that allow me to republish the work as I see fit, including posting here. I also include a handful of business cards with every order delivered, which end up in the hands of others viewing the work. It is a slow, building, word-of-mouth client base, but once you hook em, you have them for life... I dont care if the picture people in the mall can return your fake posed prints in an hour - they cant come close to this. Not at all!!!

I have just recently been blessed with a beautiful new grandaughter (Abby) and would love to put together a composite of photos together for my son and daughter in law. If sometime could direct me in the right direction as to a program that's available or perhaps simple instructions that someone has used with CS2 I would be grateful.
TIA,
Nancy <;0)

hard to navigate? well i reaaly tryed my best since4 zenfolio is all i use... i did price and iifo first and i could seperate it from the rest... then i had portfolio acording to age...then i have costomers - they are password protected....
i cant reaaly do anything different....unless my husband will make a web site for me,,,
so far this is a web site for proofs and samples...i didnt know it was difficult to navigate :(
It's probably just me. I think how the individual slides come up on the first page kinda threw me - guess I'm more used to a slide show type format. I don't really now how to describe it, I think I was a bit overwelmed by all the stuff on the first page.
Anyway you have a fabulous style and I'm sure your business will take off very quickly.

great job! I cant even decide on a favorite. I have a LONG way to go before I get to where you are!!!
I was wondering, you said you used tileboard for the floor. Does it come in a big slab? Or are they small pieces joined together? I did a search for tileboard and came up with what looks like linoleum. So I thought I needed some help, lol...

...the trick is to use tripod and never move the baby during shoots
^^ THAT is the key right there... ive seen montages like this before but the unsuccessful ones were always taken from different angles or positions so they really looked like a row of separate pictures beside eachother.
i really love the 'cookies' one where baby has wandered back and forth, but because the camera doesnt move it looks perfect & natural
thanks for sharing your setup :)

I love your work :). I'm new and wanting to start a photog. business as well. You gave me some great ideas. I just wish I had some room in my home I could do what you are doing. I have a room in the basement available...but everyone tells me people won't want to go down into a basement for a photoshoot. LOL So I've put my basement studio on the backburner.
Where do you get your quotes? Are you getting them from Ann Gettes (sp?) books or other sources. I have done a few pictures with quotes and just love the idea.
Awesome pictures! Can't wait to see more. :)
