well i was gonna go for the xsi or the xs~ i think the xs is the same without the liveview~

seemed like all the specs were the same. even some better on the sony.

but the sony was only $500~ so the price kinda sold me on that~

You have to look at the price and quality of lenses before you ever think about a body. The best body in the world is nothing with out good glass. Sony has nothing that can come close to the IQ of Canon glass.
