Thanks to Roger over at lensrentals.com I was able to use the above lens in a concert situation. All I can say is this lens is amazing. I even used a 1.4 extender with it and had a 280 f/2.8 that was sharp wide open. Anyone who has a bunch of cash handy and looking for another top notch concert performer, should at least give it a spin.
