That second shot has me thinking... what if you could setup a tripod, and get a long exposure with the whole runway and stuff streaking... that'd be amazing!

Nice perspective. One us ordinary folks don't get to see...very often.

yadda yadda yadda yadda......all electronics must be stowed for arrival..yadda yadda yadda

.......we all know that is merely a suggestion :D

I really couldnt find anything in any CRM book that says not to do it , single pilot ops on the other hand.....:D
A wireless remote control/selftimer and a setup on a tripod really makes it fairly effortless.

yadda yadda yadda yadda......all electronics must be stowed for arrival..yadda yadda yadda

hahaha, well, as long as there arent any radio transmitters, earbuds or something that can hinder a smooth evacuation I think we all can agree on it being pretty safe.

That second shot has me thinking... what if you could setup a tripod, and get a long exposure with the whole runway and stuff streaking... that'd be amazing!

The inflight ones are setup on a tripod. I have tried longer exposures, but I always get some blur in the cockpit as it really isnt smooth enough to get anything really good.

Anyways, once again, appreciate the feedback

Nice view!

I asked a pilot the other day if I could take a photo of the cockpit--- he gave me the riot act-- but eventually let me do it. Any secret handshake you can teach me that will get pilots comfortable with me?

None flying in the US anymore, but a few flew United Feeder back in the mid nineties.

Well, I know some pilots today are a little worried about having people in the cockpit for any reason at all. What I wouldnt do is approach the cockpit before the flight as they are usually pretty busy getting ready. So for safety reasons it probably better to let them do their job as far as clearances, briefings and checklists.
However, when you get up on cruise, let one of the flight attendants know you are intrested in airplanes and photography, just ask if she/he can ask the captain when they have time if you can take a quick peek in there after landing. My bet is that most pilots would be ok with that unless they have a quick turn or are trying to make a connecting flight home(-:
If you get a pilot giving you "the riot act" just smile, tell him thanks for his time and walk away, he is not worth wasting your time on.

OSL it is sir, first one is 19R @ OSL the second one is 01L

There are actually cup holders, they just arent extended in the pictures, if you look at the bottom left and right side console you can kinda see em....

Hello neighbour! (I'm Swedish) Lovely pics you've got there. I've always wanted to bring the camera in the cockpit but haven't had the chance so far. Ever tried that with a fisheye?
