I just got a new laptop, and I want to have a nice transportation wall paper, hey a nice looking lady in it won't hurt either.
Anyone have a photo that really stands out that I can say "WOW" I want to see that every time I boot up my pc?

Best way to do that is to shoot your own picture -- that's why most people are on this forum. :)
It might take some travel or checking of area event schedules, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult over the next few weeks to find one event or another that should provide you with the opportunity to get the image you want. In the U.S. we're moving into the season for many kinds of fall festivals that usually are photogenic. And there's a Member Activities section of this forum (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=80) where you can ask about interesting events in your part of the world.

I don't have a nice car, either. I use it to travel to places where nice cars can be found:

The Seattle Times web site just happens to have a listing for a restaurant that has several car shows each year, (http://edb.seattletimes.nwsource.com/ae/scr/edb_ed.cfm?evt=2008027915) including some events that will happen in the next few weeks. The LeMay Museum (http://www.lemaymuseum.org/) also looks as if it's worth the travel and the price of admission to get pictures of its car collection.
You'll be a lot happier with a car picture you create yourself than with something you download. The best use for your camera is to be personally creative with it. If you're fortunate enough to be able to travel and to take pictures, take advantage of the opportunities you have.

As I don't have my dream car yet (can't shoot what you don't have!), I've used shots from http://www.carwalls.com. I think they get their shots from designers and companies' PR materials. This has been on my desktop for a long time: http://www.desktopmachine.com/framepic.php?id=8409&size=w1920 and now I have this one on another monitor: http://www.desktopmachine.com/framepic.php?id=6405&size=w1920

Best way to do that is to shoot your own picture -- that's why most people are on this forum. Yes, isn't creativity an important element of photography? LOL, I would, but I dont have a nice car and its raining in Seattle. LOL, yourself!!!! How do you expect to get anything if you start out with that attitude?
There are plenty of opportunities with cars & rain shots. But if you must, shoot something crappy & look at it every day. Sooner or later, you might think of a way to improve it.
