Can the i9100 print on heavy stock like the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and Etching papers?
My parents have this printer and wanted to use this type of paper stock.....there doesn't seem to be a manual feed slot so I was wondering if the normal vertical paper tray will feed this paper one sheet at a time.
I am trying to help them long distance so I don't have the manual with me.
Thanks in advance for any help and insight.

I am not certain, but I think the answer is that the i9100 cannot accept the heavy stock papers. To find out for sure, go to Canon's website and click on Downloads > Consumer > Printer > i9100 and download the user manuals.
Hope that helps.

Don't know if it helps, but I've put 550 gsm papers through my i9100 without problems. You just need to open up the print head spacing with the slider under the cover to approx. half way.

Thanks mphoto & iwatkins for your responses...... I went to the canon website but had trouble downloading the manual....I will try again though..... and if 550 gsm paper worked....I think the Hahnemuhle will also it's only 308 &310 gsm....I'm assuming the smaller the number the less thick or lighter the paper....but I may be incorrect.
Thanks again....at least there's hope.

Yes, the number is the number of grams per square metre. e.g. a square metre of 310 gsm paper will weigh 310 grams. Easy. :)
310gsm paper will certainly go through without problems.
Cheers
