Can anyone confirm that this lens will retain autofocus at f8 with a 2X canon TC on a 1DS MKII.
I know it states in the sticky threads in that excellent post regarding TC's that all 1 series bodies will, but wanted to make sure before I commit.
Also has anyone any experience of this combo?

Just be aware that you will only be able to use the center AF point when the max aperture is f8 and only in horizontal-line sensitive mode (see page 74 of your 1Ds2 manual).

It does on the 1D Mk II, and it should on the 1Ds-II as well.

All 1D series cameras retain AF at center focus point only at F8.
