I have 2 questions.
1 - Is there a way of checking on the camera itself - canon ixus 65 (ixy 80) how much battery life is remaining.
2 - When you put the lithium battery into the normal charger, what should be the light that is displayed? Green, red? constant or blinking/flashing? I am seeing different behavior.
Thanks!

There is a ‘low battery’ icon on the upper left of the LCD. It alerts you that the battery charge is low. A few seconds before the camera shuts itself off to protect the battery, the message ‘Change the battery pack’ will appear.
Check page 18 of the advanced manual to see the icon position on the LCD.

Check page 1 of the basic user guide to read charger behavior:
'The charger indicator will light orange while the battery is charging. It will change to green when the charge is complete. Charging takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.'

To see how much power in procent you having in your camera you just install the CHDK-hack.
