wow... ever wonder why these things just sit around wrecking yards? why not send them off to be crushed and recycled? i like the car on top.. what is that? are there any still on the road today?

The one on top is a Ford Falcon XL. They don't crush them cause they sell parts to collectors for more than the metal is worth. If every car that quit running were crushed, they would all be crushed and no oldies around to admire. :)

Yep Ford Falcon XL Ute roughly 1963,4 Model
No don,t see them on the road anymore,
This yard tends to crush and recycle the more modern wrecks and keep the very old ones for parts
