What way do people think is the best way to do this. I have a shot I've taken today (see first shot). What way looks best, i.e. with the car being leveled (second shot) or the horizon/back ground level (third shot).

For those interested, the car is an Opel Corsa OPC S2000, 2.0n/a 4wd.

Martin.

I don't think it is important to level such shots. I would leave them the way it is if it doesn't look strange. I would level if there is a clear horizon in the picture.

Apart from that, the shots are unappealing. This may be because you haven't done any post processing. They also look quite blurry for such a small picture.

I haven't done any work on them at all. Only just back in from the Rally less than an hour ago.

Also I'm not the best photographer, so the quality isn't the best. FYI the original pic is 3888x2592. And like I said no work done just rotated it for the thread.

I am a believer that horizons need to be straight in "action" shots. If the horizons are straight and the car is going up/down hill then it portrays the change in elevation. However in the second shot that you straightened the car, the crop is tight enough that I don't notice the horizons not being level.

If the horizon is visible then I believe it should be level. But shoot so that it's not visible and you can get as creative as you like.
