I have plans to get one but figured I would ask. If you have it do you like it? Does anyone have a shot with it on the camera?

that was one of the first things I got for mine cause I liked the fact it held 2 battieres and I have big hands and it makes the camera more comfortable to shoot with and with the second shutter release you can shoot both horizonal and vertical with ease. I love mine and would recommend it as one of the most important items to have.

I got my grip a few weeks ago. I just gotta say that I feel like I am using a different camera. The grip adds some much needed sizing bulk which makes the camera easier to hold and it feels more "professional". I haven't been able to take advantage of the second battery compartment since I still only have the one batery (need to change that). Having the second set of controls really makes it easier to shoot portrait (vertical) shots.

I just wish that my camera was one of the newer black 300D's so that it would all look the same. Having the silver body with the black grip does bother me about >< that much. It's more of petty look thing.

A must have for any 300D owner.

Not to jack the thread how is the sigma 70-200 EX?

Outstanding.

I had the opportunity to compare the sigma with the canon 70-200 f/4 and the f/2.8 side by side. Viewing on screen at 100% crops the Canon f/4 I used was marginaly the best, the Canon f2.8 was better wide open than the sigma, but when I printed the images out at 10" the differences were so small that a couple of my photomates could not differentiate between them (mind you they both shoot N*****).

So for me the Sigma offered the best value for money and this one seems sharper wide open than the one I borrowed.

I certianly could not have honestly justifed nearly twice the price for the Canon f/2.8 to my wife:lol:
