What can I do right now at 8:30pm?

I know I can do 30 second exposer's but what else?

And how can I find some bats in my neck of the woods? I like to get them in flight if I could.

Moving creatures at night are tough unless you are prepared to go to a flash... You can also try to get your images earlier in the evening so its not so dark. I still don't know if that will help the bats.

Umm... 30-minute exposures? :) If you have a wired remote, and if you're not in a heavily light-polluted area that is...
