Has anyone ever had the autofocus malfunction on the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR Di? I just got mine two days ago from B&H, and just this afternoon the autofocus stopped working.

I didn't bang the lens, there were no jarring impacts or anything that would logically cause something like this. I keep it in a padded bag that's been on the floor in my office all day. I tested another lens in the camera, it's not the camera. I don't have another camera in which to test the lens.

It worked fine this morning, just two hours ago, but for some reason, it's not working now. Any suggestions?

Take the lens off, switch the button back and forth, resetart the camera. I had this problem the first time I put it on my MKII, but after switching the MF/AF buton back and forth a couple times and resetting the camera, it worked.

Yeah, I've tried all of that, no dice.

How is B&H on returns? If I have to send it back to them, how long am I going to be out a lens? :(

B&H were very quick and zero hastle to give me a refund when I returned a lens that I decided I didn't want after all. I expect their replacement service will be pretty good too.
