I've seen this technique a couple different times and thought I'd give it a try. Any suggestions for me?

I really like it. How did you do that?

Very nice. I have experimented with phototinting myself so I really like it.

The black and white with a bit of color's pretty easy to do with layers, desaturating the image, and the history brush. To make the colors muted you'd probably just set the opacity low. For example here (http://www.mrwild.co.nz/PhotoGallery/2005/BeatGirlsAtBotanicGarden/slides/CRW_5139.html), here (http://www.mrwild.co.nz/PhotoGallery/2005/BeatGirlsAtBotanicGarden/slides/CRW_5155.html) and here (http://www.mrwild.co.nz/PhotoGallery/2005/BeatGirlsAtBotanicGarden/slides/CRW_5165bw.html). Scott Kelby's photoshop for digital photograhers book is great for this, and many other things.
